As most of you will have already heard about mr gay's scandal, this is my point of view. This post is not for rebuttal purposes.
It's no doubt that he is wrong for posting rude remarks, for that he should bear all consequences.
1. 'He is a civil servant, he shouldn't make such a mistake!'
So you mean if he isn't a teacher, he has better rights to make such a mistake? While i do agree that he should have been more vigilant and sensitive with his words, he shouldn't be double discriminated because of his work profession. Being a teacher is his career, not his identity.
2. 'Tpjc is a shameful school'
I admit of my personal bias as i'm one of his student in college. But from an objective point of view, whatever he does in his personal life has nothing to do with the school. He is a representation but not an reflection of our college. A simple analogy; if you will to commit crimes, does it mean that it's your parent's fault as they didn't teach you well?
3. While Mr gay is wrong for what he has done, personal attacks from haters seem shallow. If you're pointing out the severity and irresponsibility of his actions, it's fine. But if you started scolding vulgarities and insulting his family, it's an immature way of handling things. In this way, you are doing what he has done previously.
* If he is someone you love, will you still be so hateful towards him?
If he had sincerely repented, will you give him a second chance?
I will.
- Just expressing my personal voice. No hate.
Hope tomorrow will be a better day for Mr gay and everyone else! :>
